LEARN TO SURF GOLD COAST

Learn to surf on the Gold Coast and experience the thrill of catching your first wave. Most surf schools on the Gold Coast run a 2 hour learn to surf lesson and the cost is somewhere between $40 and $60. This will be for a group beginners lesson which will teach you all the basic skills and you will probably stand up and surf waves in this lesson. When you book your lesson always ask how many people will be in the group because some surf schools run small group personalised lessons and some run large groups full of tourists, backpackers and day trippers etc. There is nothing wrong with the large group surf lessons however you might find you get a little bit
 more attention form the instructor if there is not so many people.

There is a surf school located on almost every beach along the Gold Coast. The First Wave Surf School at Main Beach (Mobile 0410 400 800) is the premier surf school on the northern end. All of the above surf schools are licensed by Surfing Queensland and Surfing Australia, Approved by the Gold Coast City Council and all instructors are accredited surfing instructors.
